Is there any place that's known for selling just the Wii also and not some stupid bundle where they force you to buy a ton of crap?

I'm planning on trying Frys first, any other places that are a good bet?

Nope, not BB. I've actually never seen a combo at BB. Most of the combos are at places like Costco and Sams Club, or online.

In Boston, they are pretty easy to find. There was only a period of 3 weeks where they were impossible to find. In fact, the wii-motes were more scarce than the wii's for a month!

Well I've called around and nothing yet.

I can't get over that they're still sold out everywhere.

I went to six stores in NJ a few days ago. (Gamestop, Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Target, Sam's). No trace of a Wii anywhere!. Nothing.

I would not call it easy to find. You still have to go to a store everyday until they get shipment. What stores in Boston are you going to? The only place I know that gets regular shipments each week is the Prudential Gamestop.

I dunno, everytime I've walked into BestBuy on Newbury (4x in the past 2 months) they had over 10 in stock. It is possible that I happened to be lucky in seeing those in stock and that they were quickly consumed after my observation.

Even after almost 14 months after launch and nearly 20 million units sold, yeah Wiis are still hard to find in most cities.

Tomorrow morning, get to Toys R Us or Target before they open. Both stores hold their shipments until Sunday. Pick up a paper and make sure they advertise the Wii in their sale flyer; if they do, they'll probably have some. Not sure how long before they open you have to get there.

Best Buy I was at the day after Christmas just got like 30 in stock, who knows how quickly they were sold.

The only thing you can do is either call in or check the store yourself.

I bought a Wii a few days after Christmas. I first stopped at Toys R Us and they had about 15 in stock. It was just the Wii, not a package deal. I spent $250 for it. However, the Wii-motes were a PITA to find.... like others were saying. I ended up finding them at Walmart.

Well I was able to snag one at a Sears that was nearly and hour away.

We convinced the manager to hold it for us and rushed over there.

It was the last one they had.

I tried every single store I could think of and this was the closest I could find.

But it was without a bundle only for $250.

They didn't have any Wiimotes though so I went to a Toys R Us and grabbed the Wii Play which included a remote and the game for $50 and then added the nunchuck.

All the stores around here haven't been able to hold Wii's for more than 5 hours of announcing they have the bloody things.

Funny, must be the only place in the US then. They're supposed to be scarce until March due to chip shortages. Gamestops and most stores here are backordered 2-3 weeks.
