There hasn't been a civilization before like this one. It has been a radical change in short period of time relative to the lifespan of the early world to present

So how can we truly know the long term effects of the sedentary lifestyle if we have no other civilization in history to compare to?

They say being sedentary is bad but they don't factor diet that much in in relation or the general adaptation factor. Health experts will say being sedentary in itself is harmful.

Thoughts?

I mean, it's a gradient. Some humans are more sedentary than others, as it depends on social status, financial bracket, where you live, what your interests are, etc.

That said, yeah being sedentary is bad. Not as bad as eating rotten food and being infested with parasites, but it's still bad.

Aren't you the guy who doesn't eat fresh fruit or vegetables and bought a lying down desk so you could play computer games in your bed?
