I carried a baby squirrel around in a fanny pack for over a month everywhere I went. I had no choice because she had to eat every 2 hours and I couldn't just sit at home. She ended up being pretty spoiled but she was so much fun it really didn't matter to me because she was very affectionate and listened very well. I never would have believed you could train a squirrel.

What happened to the squirrelly poof? How come you had a baby squirrelly in the first place?

I had a baby squirrel because she was an injured orphan that was only a couple of weeks old. My neighbor up at the lake had killed her mother because she was in his bird house and when he went to take the house down for a cleaning she scurried away and almost drowned. She was missing a front paw. The rehabilitator told me that she could never be released when I went to drop her off. I figured if she was going to be stuck in a cage the rest of her life I could provide a much better life for her so I kept her.

She was the best pet I ever had but unfortunately she died of aflatoxin poisoning from tainted corn I got her at WalMart when she was 3 years old.

That all? My cat actually made a warning attack on my foot to express indignance.
