Who were you before the ban?
Why does this question consistently and most often come from those on the left in here?

It should be a basis for a vacation when posted. Not only is it idiotic and usually falsely accusatory, it's close to paranoid delusional, which in light of that group who so often pose it makes perfect sense.

Never mind. I've answered my own question.

I fail to see what a postponement would accomplish.

The security in Iraq is not going to measurably improve in the near future, so postponement seems pointless. Everyone knew that casualties would increase as the elections drew near. Finally, the administration dares not encourage the insurgents in this way that they may get results using further bloodshed.

Good observations.

Additionally, a democratically elected government will begin to deplete any legitimacy that may currently exist in the insurgent's actions and should further erode what little public support they have. I think that's what really bothers them. Of course that won't stop them from acting but it will divulge their true nature and intent, which is to grab power for their own group and personal benefit rather than being any kind of patriotic endeavor on behalf of the Iraqi people.

So what benefit do you see in postponing them? I can see only two, either so you can say "Aha! Told you that the situation in Iraq is worse than Bush is admitting" or because it fits neatly with your worldview of thinking "those brown people over there" are somehow morally or intellectually incapable of democracy and exercising free will in an acceptable fashion (or in a way that's not how YOU think they should exercise it anyway), sorta like how the left views the red states as "Dumbfuckistan" because they voted Republican rather than Democrat.

Well, it didn't take long to play the race card.

Tell me, without playing the Nazi card, why an increasing number of iraqis are calling for review/postponement, including the interm president? Does he think that "those brown poeple" are incapable as well?
