I'm on break at work (I'm 29) and I'm chatting with a girl in my grad program. Sadly, most people in my program are like this.

Seriously? The sad thing is, this doesn't seem to be the exception for people below 25 or so anymore. Shit like this is actually considered normal. She skipped out of work....to talk to boys online. boys. Not men. Boys. I'm getting old and stodgy in my nearly 3 decades on this Earth apparently.
 
It's grad school. You know, the place where people go when they finish undergrad but still don't want to work.

Meh, there's a 26 year old at work like that. Takes lots of sick days for shits and giggles, mostly to do stuff with her boyfriend or for school.

But at the same time, we have 30 and 40 year olds who also do that, so has nothing to really do with the generation. Must be the types we hire, or the types that the organization attracts.
 
They say the same thing about every generation. The recession has been a good wake up call for Gen Y though. Something their bratty parents never had to really deal with.

Meh. When we get good snow at the peak of ski season, people are always "suddenly sick". I don't remotely care why someone misses work, so long as it's not hurting anything.
 
Sounds like OP likes the girl and when she started talking about other guys that she likes, he got jealous and decided to tell her how immature she is in a passive aggressive way.
