Denser. And it just about solidified the fact that Rolling Stone is a piece of shit magazine now when in their poll for worst lines of 2008 they had it as "dancer." Really? You're a music magazine and you can't even get the lyrics to a popular song right?

Denser. I heard something on the radio about an interview where the band was asked this question.

nope...it's dancer

Text

sounds/makes more sense as denser but its dancer

Maybe I stand corrected, but I know I was told by multiple sources that it was denser and that was given in an interview.

Either way RS still sucks it.

Its Dancer and it pisses me off every time I hear it. Dancers you idiots!! Even if it was dancers though I would still be sick of it I think.

It's dancer. The band cleared it up as inspired by a quote from Hunter S. Thompson, who once observed that America was ?raising a generation of dancers.?

proof?

dancer makes no sense in the context of the chorus.

we = plural
dancer = singular

Of course it makes no sense it's a dumbass rock lyric.

No killers songs make sense. They are like the Arcade Fire except their lyrics are easy to understand and make no sense instead of hard to understand and full of depth.

I don't listen to the radio... apparently this gets a lot of play time?
