i am sure everyone is slightly fed up with asus (those of us with the A8N-SLI) as they are not being very good about keeping their promises on a new bios. i know about 1007-003 but does anyone have any info on further updates or anything. i thought 1007 final was supposed to be out last or this week?

ps. i got no probs with the board other than the 1T issue, although i myself have not tested that. this is not a flame post just asking if anyone knows anything. i actually enjoy my board very much right now but want to be able to do some nice overclocking.

You are still better of than owners of non deluxe version. There is no final BIOS version since 1001 from December. It really sucks 🙂

What is the 1T issue? I have heard of no problems with 2 dimms running at 1T....all the nforce4 boards have problems with 4 dimms which by architecture is understandable.

the A8N's main problem is the memory dividers .... they don't all operate and those that do other than the 200MHz default, underclock....

My own A8N somehow decided not to work with my SCSI subsystem....after buying a new SCSI card and finding the same problem I decided to jump ship to MSI which now seems to have a pretty stable product.

I will be offering my A8N-SLI soon on AT For Sale/Trade along with the LSI U40SE card (dual channel with both 68 pin internal/external and a set of 50 internal ports).

In the two months I had my A8N there were quite a few BIOS releases...I don't know how much faster they can release them.
