there sure are a lot of newbies around here lately. maybe its just that i'm noticing it more.

someone did say something about fark invading us i think... might have been a while ago though...
 
I think most of the n00bs are plastered to the HD forum, thank goodness. If you see some of the petty flamewars that break out amongst the lurkers there (for reference, see, the CompUSA mouse thread), it makes even the stupidest ATOT arguments look like a MENSA discussion.

One thing I have noticed is lifers giving sh!t to noobs because they have a low post count.

That is BULL since the noob can have better stuff to say than the lifers. So STFU please.

Post count to me is irrelevant.
Granted, if a member comes out of the woodwork with a series of extremely insipid posts, it'll take him a while to rid himself of the "stupid n00b stigma" compared to a member who posts infrequently but always adds to the discussion. Off the top of my head, that fellow RalphKramden seems to be shaping up to be one of the more insightful and humorous posters, moreso than some senior+ members. There's plenty of others, too.

On the same token, there are members with very high posts count here that rarely contribute anything useful, and usually end up getting involved in flamewars. Just goes to show that post count != brains.


What REALLY pisses me off are belligerent n00bs that have it in their head that because i have an average of ~8 posts a day that I have no life, and therefore my opinions are invalid. Whatev.
