This forum is mostly OPINION.

Anyway, back to your original subject . . . I really believe the FBI probably couldn't prevent the all the tragedies of 9/11. But they do need to be shaken up, streamlined and generally made more efficient. Their "integrity" is intact. But they did 'drop the ball' in their pre-9/11 investigations.

I really don't think they need much more freedom to intrude into ordinary American's lives but do need the ability to gather & share information efficiently when it is warranted - in other words, a judge should be awakened in the middle of the night to give the order to do that wiretap right away without any delay.
