are u ever afraid of the voice mail light when it's on?

It's Monday morning, just got in from the weekend and my voice mail light is on. It scares me and I dont want to even check the messages.

i hate voice mail.

sometimes, but most of the messages in the morning are from our annoying secretary. I don't even listen to them anymore, just a quick 3-3-7.

Voice mail lights at work are scarier on Fridays when you have a meeting until 3:00pm and then return to your desk, seeing the light and fearing the worse to ruin your weekend.

Yeah, kinda. People don't usually leave voice mails that have good news contained within their message.

Yes I am. It's usually my mentally unstable mother for some reason or another. Last time it was to tell me that she was in jail. The time before that it was to tell me she was being put in jail.

You know, that's funny. Because I was thinking about posting a question "what is your greatest fear" on here, but never got around to it. All because I finally cut my fingernail with a fingernail clipper for the first time! I've always been afraid of those things. I had nightmares when I was a kid about getting into a car, and the border above the door catches my fingernails, and rips them off. It still makes me shudder. All because I slammed my ring finger into a car door twice, completely shattering the nail. Um, but no, not afraid of the voice thingy.

Seriously, my voice mail light is on, but I'm not gonna listen, because it isn't really my phone (not set up for me, vitrually nobody knows that this is my desk yet).
