I would say yes for the most part. but I am only specking of Aussie Toyota's..the bulk of the mainstream cars (camry's, corolla's etc) are locally assembled here not imported as are most jap cars, so the quality is much higher than the imported stuff..not that the japs make bad cars to start with.
