so i'm planning on buying tickets for a liz phair show...which are like $25, but the "convenience" charge is close to $8, which imo is so ridiculous. i was curious if the ticketmaster outlet locations (like retails like FYE) charge a lower fee than ticketmaster online. also do the outlet locations print your ticket on the spot or are they also mailed ?

thanx

Ticketmaster is one of the most vile corporations that I have ever come into contact with in my entire life. They rank right up there with ClearChannel. If you can, go to the box office of the venue itself.

Just go to the box office. Then there's no convenience charges at all. I avoid TM at all costs.

That's usually not the case. What venue is it?

I'm 99% positive that a music store near where I live that does not charge the "convenience fee" when you buy Ticketmaster tickets at the store. I don't know if they absorb the fee themselves in the hopes that you buy something while you're there or what, but I believe they don't charge it.
