When the SMP chipsets come out, they will support 2 processors per Northbridge. So for a 14 way system, we'd be seeing 7 northbridges. That would still be a site to see 😉
 
That's going to be hellish on the inter-processor latency (ie. snoops, etc.)... I can't imagine that they'd implement a 14-way system by stacking northbridges... There's much better ways to do it. The pin-out on the chipset is going to be huge as well... two P2P busses => 2X the pins. I guess we'll see though.
