I just watched Ghostbusters 2 the other day. Watching Bill Murray and the guys act without resorting to overdone special effects was hilarious and awesome. It was fun laughing at stuff I never picked up on as a kid.

The latest from Wiki:

On January 13, 2010, Ivan Reitman confirmed that he will be directing the film.[26][27] In March 2010, Bill Murray appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and talked about his return to Ghostbusters III, stating "I'd do it only if my character was killed off in the first reel".[28] In an interview with Coming Soon, Murray said: "You know, maybe I should just do it. Maybe it'd be fun to do."[29]. Aykroyd said a release is set for Christmas 2012.[30]

In October 2010, Dan Akyroyd gave Vanity Fair an update on the status of the Ghostbusters 3 script, written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg: "I’m working on the script now and those two—Stupnitsky and Eisenberg, [writer-producers of The Office]—wrote Bill the comic role of a lifetime, and the new Ghostbusters and the old are all well represented in it...we have a strong first draft that Harold [Ramis] and I will take back, and I’m very excited about working on it."[31] Shortly after that interview, at the Spike TV Scream Awards, Bill Murray appeared to accept an award for Zombieland. He appeared in full Ghostbusters gear, but gave no statements regarding the film.[32] On October 14, 2010 Stefano Paganini, Sony's Product Marketing Manager in charge of Catalogue, Animation, and TV series, appeared at a Ghostbusters event in Rome and said "I spoke about this night with my boss from Los Angeles. She allowed me to let you know that the script of 'Ghostbusters 3' has been approved so the engine has been turned on!" The official press release has yet to be issued, but is expected within the next month. [33]

Dr Ray Stantz: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here.
Walter Peck: They caused an explosion!
Mayor: Is this true?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes it's true.
[pause]
Dr. Peter Venkman: This man has no dick.

I can't wait to see how this movie turns out.

Everybody rags on him too much. .He is the king of resurrecting franchises. Transformers, Transformers 2, Indiana Jones 4, all blockbusters and now Wall Street 2.

If he was in a new Ghostbusters it would be huge.

If he was in ghostbusters it wouldn't be big because of him. That series has a huge cult following and regardless of the new actors it'd do quite well.

He was good in Eagle Eye, but that's the only movie I thought he actually ACTED well in. Crystal Skull was an embarrassment and I'll never trust anybody involved with it ever again.

IF Ghostbusters 3 is made I hope it turns out good.

I know that MC Chris has been trying to get a bit part in it.

So yes, its going to be made. No idea what stage its at.

Technically, the recent Ghostbusters video game is the third movie. "The "Real" Ghostbusters." Game Informer, 81. Akroyd:"I've seen work on the video game, I've watched it progress, my rap now to people is 'This is essentially the third movie.

I would however like to see an actual third movie though. I love the Ghostbusters franchise, had a bunch of the toys as a kid, have both the movies on DVD, the cartoon series, great stuff. 🙂
