The board comes with OnBoard sound, so I feel I dont need a sound card.

Planning on overclocking my CPU or my RAM? Id like to OC this system a little. ANd where is that Mushkin on sale for? is that good quality ram?
 
I agree, the Volcano 7 is extremely overpriced for decent cooling and lots of noise. I just had a volcano 6 cu+ that I couldnt stand to listen to. I would get the gc-68 or pal8045 like NewCompGeek said, or you could consider the Thermalright AX-7.

EDIT: Also I would check out www.pricewatch.com if I were you. You can find stuff like Athlon XP 1800's for $114 at www.econopc.com, although I dont know if that particular company is any good. But pricewatch gives you all the best prices. Good luck.
 
You listed Arctic Silver Alumina. I believe that's the cheap stuff. Arctic Silver 3 should provide better cooling. Newegg has it for $6 plus shipping. I have ordered from newegg several times and have been very satisfied. They seem to have a real good reputation. Even if you can find some of your parts a little cheaper somewhere else (Athlon XP), I think it's worth spending a couple extra bucks and getting everything from the same reliable vendor. But I do think pricewatch is a good tool for seeing what things are going for. You also have to consider shipping costs. A lot of the lowest prices you find on pricewatch are for companies that have really high shipping charges. Have fun.
