I need a PSU Idea, Thermaltake Memory Coolers for DDR Ram.

Is this it? Did I miss something. Also can you please fill in my gaps, give me comments, better prices + deals elsewhere.

THANKS!

<< why not an alpha 8045? >>

WHats that?
>>

a heatsink, i dont know much about the volcano 7, but the alpha is one of the best (great bang for the buck), and thermaltake is pretty much frowned upon.

The volcano 7 is a loud mofo. Just a precaution. The retail 1800+ is only $6 more from newegg. Why not go with that, especially if not overclocking. Even if you are overclocking, the 3 year warranty is by far worth the extra $6. You probably wouldn't want to overclock with the stock heatsink though, its not a Northwood you know 😉

www.PriceWatch.com will give you lower prices, as well as worries about whether the place you buy from will even bother delivering what you ordered 🙂 So NewEgg it is.

Do some research before buying a cooler... And a GF4-4600 would be a better choice for the ultimate gaming system... So would be an XP 2100+. Also, onboard sound is never as good as a stand-alone high-quality soundcard...

<< Just wondering...
why aren't people getting the via kt333 Chipset mothed boards? such as the A7V333 ?
>>

kt333 cost more and gives little to no real world performance gain (3-5% on a good day) from all the reviews ive seen. so why not save a few bucks and deal with the
unoticable performance gap, or better yet do some very minor OC and get the same perfomance.

to me its not worth the extra 30-100 extra from the MB and DDR333

im going KT266A/PC2100

Might be able to save a few more dollars if you aren't dead set on the Case or CPU fan.

lastig21, I have no doubt the Volcano 7 is loud, but w/ the Volcano 7+ you get a fan speed control switch that allows three settings. Shouldn't the mid speed setting quiet down the fan noise? I'm going to buy a P4-1.8A GHz cpu retail, but I don't want to use the Intel supplied board bender! Is the Volcano 7+ overkill for me? Would I be better off w/ the Dragon 478 w/ speed control?
