are these temps high for a core i7 laptop?

IMHO, those temps are excessive and are approaching upper limits for safe operation. Is the testware accurate?

A laptop should never get that hot. If it does, it will normally shut down quickly. What brand of laptop? The fact that it keeps running suggests the sensing software is wrong. Does the outer case feel too hot to touch?

I sense that Speedfan may not be all that accurate in a laptop. As long as the system runs, does not shut down abruptly, and the laptop case is not too hot to hold, I would uninstall S/F and not worry about it.

There are other 3rd party proggies that do the same thing. How about a cross check?

Canned air is not always a good idea in a laptop - if you blow through the exhaust vent that may jam in dirt because it has no pl;ace to go. If the laptop is fairly new, that should not be a problem. Why not uninstall Speedfan and use another 3rd party temp checker - freeware. There are several available - then compare.
