iCool is the dumbest app ever written. It doesn't even automatically ramp the processor speed back up when it's needed, like SpeedStep does. I installed it, just to see what it was, and actually had to wipe the tears away, I laughed so hard, once I saw what it did.

Now, Easy Tune is a little better, if you need something to control your fan speeds, since it's setup for your motherboard already, unlike SpeedFan, which usually has to be configured.

Thanks for the help myocardia.

I have a few questions.

I have always used SpeedFan and ATI Tool, for temp reading( for mobo, cpu, hard drive and my video card).

So thouse are the programs I load to get some info on how my pc temps are.
Now I had to replace my old mobo due to sata and IDE ports diying and got myself a Gigabyte mobo.

Its the first time I used a Gigabyte board, anyway I loaded speedfan and ATI Tool to get some readings and what I got in return was the most crazy readings ever(well atleast for me).

ATI Tool worked fine.

Now SpeedFan gave me these readings:

(Edit: Pressed enter too soon.)

Temp1: -54C
Temp2: -1C
Temp3: 38C
HD0: 41C

Also I'm using "SpeedFan 4.33".

Windows XP sp 2

Now does any one here have any idea whats going wrong?

All help will be great.

That's because it's reading non-existent sensors. Just use Easy Tune, until Speed Fan "catches up" with your motherboard.

Thanks for the help, but Easy Tune does not show any reading for my motherboard only for my CPU.

Is that normal?

Any other software you would recomend that has the similar stuff like Speed Fan?
