No. they're not compatible with the PC Gaming forum. this is where people talk about games, that's why it's in the "Software" section of the forums. Try the "Hardware" sections to find an answer.

LOL

Not my question so doesn't matter!

May not have been your question, but he does have a point. You can really find MUCH better answers in the hardware section than here. Not all of the Hardware gurus read the Gaming forums. And so the answers you get might not be quite what you want or expect. Just saying, best to post hardware questions appropriately and leave this forum for questions about games.

Good luck.

Well i just head over there,
Thank you!

Those were the days, when we used to have to worry about which pieces were compatible with one another. My sound blaster AWE32 is in conflict with my Diamond Monster 3d!

on second thought, i guess there are incompatibilities now...just in a different sense. like a AMD chip wont work in an intel motherboard.

we used to have to deal with the unforeseen incompatibilities though. now that was a pain.

back in those days AWE32 was like NECESSARY
Yep, now they have 7.1 DTS audio on the motherboards. I just found a receipt for a soundblaster pro for $110 from 1993.

Also don't forget when you had to map your memory just to get some games to run.
