Are these headphones good for gaming?

Newegg has these on sale for $75:

The reviews are mostly focused on music rather than gaming, but I would only be using the headphones for gaming. How do these compare on price/performance to other headphones if you're only using it for gaming?

I don't need a mic, just looking for realistic immersive sound when gaming.

Oh ok. IMO if they're good for music, they're good for gaming. I'm no audiophile, but I don't really see how headphones could be good for music and not be good for gaming or vice versa.

Hard to beat that price, I say go for it

Some gaming headsets will do fake surround processing of surround sound input (Logitech G35, FI). Fake surround + microphone + integrated audio chip = gaming headset. Two drivers and an analog plug = headphones.

I prefer doing fake surround processing with my sound card (Dolby Headphone effect).

Thanks, I decided to snag them.

Do post back when you get to use them
