Running free version of 3DMark05 (1024x768 no AA) in a A64 3000+ @2.43G with 1 gig of Geil 3200 @448 CL2-3-6-3

stock (400/490): 4770
OC (428/518): 5119
Current (418/510): 4978

I OC it using ATI Tool. I want to know how well it compares to other X800 and 6800s.

it's not about time it takes. just hate creating accounts here and there... already have tons of accounts and for most of them i don't remember the password anymore. i think it's stupid to require login to view ppl's results. it's understandable that login is required for posting, not viewing.

not really pointless. ppl like to feel justified about their purchase. $300 may not be a lot for you, but it's a lot for me on a video card and i want to know how well this $300 stack against other $300-$500 competitors. I can search the forum of course, but i just want to have a thread that i can easily find (just click my forum) with results that i'm looking for, especially when i'm at work.

How hard is it to post a score anyway? it'll be way easier than writing your post to bash me. Anyway X800XL is a great card at a greate price, i'm sure there are lots ppl interested in this card.

And congrats on your X800XL. You can see my rig in my sig and I got almost the same score (maybe lower) on my GT @ stock speeds; very nice for a $300 card indeed 🙂

well not amazing, but definitely decent. you could get it higher with a few tweaks.
i get 5201 (1024x768 NoAA) with my overclocked geforce 6800 standard (450/425), and an athlon64 winchester at 2.41ghz.
is that as much as your video card can overclock?
 
get ~ 4850 w/ my BBA X800 XL on a P4 setup (in sig below)

mine overclocks to 426/534 and that is absolutely solid. Highest Load temps I have seen are 65c ... Idle temp is 34c

it's not the highest OC i could achieve. I was getting artifacts at first so i thought i had it too high. But later I found out it was caused by undervoltage in my CPU Vcore. Once I finish tweaking my system I'll see how far i can OC this card.

P.S. my GPU temp hovers around 50s on load and 30s idle. Are these temp normal?

and 6110 CPU mark @2.45! my CPUMark is only 5000 @2.43.

MSI RS480M2-IL, AMD Athlon 64 3000+ at 1.8Ghz, 1Ghz KingMax Dual Channel DDR400 kit, and ATI Brand X800XL, all at stock speed:

4792 3DMark05
 
Get 5600-5700 on my 6800GT OC at ultra speeds so I think you scores are around where they should be. No signs of any major problems anyway.
 
I've got the same card, but minus the Zalman cooler.

5068 @ 425/526
4959 @ 411/513
4720 stock - which is running a bit underclocked at 398 and 493 according to RivaTuner.

Don't know what the highest stable OC is yet, since I just got the card yesterday 😉
