Are there talking deathclaws in Fallout 3?

Are there talking deathclaws in Fallout 3? They're a very interesting part of Fallout 2.

I never saw any when I played, and I explored most of the areas.

I've explored all of the wasteland except maybe a few places I missed, especially in DC, and have only come across mind controlled deathclaws and regular ones.

If talking for them consists of "blaaaaaargh" and "roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!" then I guess they do, but more seriously no, I haven't heard any actually speaking like humans or even using any sophisticated form of spoken communication, if they do then I must have been very unlucky not to hear them talk because I must have killed a good 40+ of them so far under three different games.

It's interesting indeed, I never played Fallout 2, I have read about the lore/back story though, but I never read about Deathclaws who could talk, you're saying that they do talk in Fallout 2 during actual game-play?

I read something interesting that I agree with regarding Fallout 3: It's like a beginners' introduction to the Fallout world. You meet some of the major groups, but there's no depth to them, so in the end everything feels shallow.

I believe the Enclave done some experiements with some of them and they turned out to be rather smart....

In Fallout 3, they turn out to be rather lethal without VATS and quite tame with it if you.
