Are there special cable requirements for Quick Charge 3.0 / 4.0?

I want to buy a battery bank that has QC input and output. I'm wondering if I also need to invest in special cables to take full advantage of the quicker charging rates?

I ask because I've done tests with normal micro USB cables using a standard 2A USB charger and there's a huge amount of variability. Some cables only do 300mA. Some do 500mA. Some do 1.25A.

So I don't want to get a QC battery bank and realise none of my cables work.

That said, when I bought some extra cables for our Galaxy S9 phones, I just bought some Anker cables on Amazon because of previous experiences with their cables, and the description stated they fully supported the S9's charging requirements, and two 6 foot cables were only $12.
