costco was the cheapest option for me, but i did have to get an exam. some of those online sites that have them super cheap are kinda shady. they sell you contacts out of the box, like the free trials you can get at your optometrist.

I tried Coastal Contacts too and they also wanted verification ... What happened to all of the companies that used to just ship the contacts w/o a prescription. Like others have said, its not required by law and I don't feel like shelling out the cost of going to see an optometrist just for them to say that my eyes are the same as last year.

If anyone has anymore links to stores that don't require a prescription please let me know!

I'd like to get some people first hand experience who may have ordered contacts from a company in the past and not needed a prescription. Will google tell me that? I'm all for searching and trying to find the answer myself w/o needing to come onto a forum and ask someone to do the work for me ... but in this case I'm having trouble finding a site that I can order from. Is that so much to ask?

I've ordered from here before with a prescription of about 1.5 years old.

I'm ordering again from them this week, but this time I have a current prescription. They have good prices and quick shipping. Check them out.

I ordered from them before, the verification is give them a name and phone#. They aren't going to call and verify. I've been wearing the same prescription for over 2 years and I can still see as good as ever.

Yeah I did that and they sent me back a PDF of a fax from my optometrist's office that said my prescription expired in May of 2004.

I tried Contactlenses4us.com . They let me set up an account, place and pay for an order without ever asking for a prescription. They will also rip you off/
AVOID Contactlenses4us.com - they are a burn
Long story to the short - i got ripped off. It turns out they are located in Poland so good luck on any recourse.
