I definitely believe there are alien species out there.

Do you believe any human organization would spend billions upon billions building a ship to travel possibly hundreds of light years, just to grill up some alien hamburgers? Get real, there are other ways to get food. :p

I say, keep SETI and all similar projects online.

Is there life out there not native to this earth? Probably. Is it as advanced as us or siginificantly moreso? Probably not. Why not? Because if it was they'd either be doing stuff that we could see (moving stars and the like) or would have contacted us in some way. Why? Because there's profit to be made in selling crap to primitives.

Humans study wildlife on Earth without letting the wildlife know their there. We capture animals, study them, tag them, then released them back into the wild. With all the UFO sightings worldwide, do you feel like a bug in a jar?

I'm sure there are millions of other lifeforms out there. Just put things into perspective and look at the size of space. They're there, but the distances are so vast that we couldn't possibly reach them. I don't think we've ever been visited, either.

Except the odds of life forming are very low, much less multicellular life, much less sentient life, much less intelligent life. Molecules literally have to randomly arrange themselves into proto cells before life can begin at all.

Well it happened here, and considering space is pretty much infinate, I have a hard time believing it couldn't have happened someplace else.

And how can we really know we are the most advanced out there? If there is another life form sending out radio waves such as us, it would take millions of years for the signals to even get here.

Humans are sapient, therefore, there is a proft to be made from trading with us (we can agree to things). Aliens would gain significantly less from studying from us than from just studying us.
