I think not. If there were they would have already kicked our collective asses into oblivion.

It the off chance I am wrong I can only plead with all the SETI types to quit broadcasting our location. If you freaks are right and I am wrong I do NOT want a crapload of hideous alien mvtherfvckers coming down here and grilling me and my family for a Sunday picnic.

I have a pretty good understanding of just how friendly the most highly devloped lifeform on planet Earth treats its own kind and I am sure that an alien species that comes from a brazillion lightyears away is going to be plenty hungry.

Do you want to wind up in a hotdog bun? I don't. :|

So knock it off, turn off your goddam alien hunting computers, go outside and kill something for dinner. :disgust:

Selfish, self serving bastages! :frown:

Aliens don't care we are here if they are advanced enough.

SETI is collecting transmissions, not sending them.

The signals we are sending out is tv and radio signals from our regular broadcasts.

How do you know that we wouldn't be the superrior species if there were extraterrestrial life forms? Why do we always have to be the underdogs?

I'm sure there are millions of other lifeforms out there. Just put things into perspective and look at the size of space. They're there, but the distances are so vast that we couldn't possibly reach them. I don't think we've ever been visited, either.

Our location is being broadcasted by tv and radio. SETI is receive only, trying to find another planet's tv/radio type broadcasts. I firmly believe we are not alone, and I do not think they will destroy us for no reason once they do know about us.

Except the odds of life forming are very low, much less multicellular life, much less sentient life, much less intelligent life. Molecules literally have to randomly arrange themselves into proto cells before life can begin at all.

I bet there are other forms of somewhat advanced life out there but none that rival humans in intelligence and organization. There would be absolutely no reason for a more highly advanced species capable of traveling here to hide their presence, conspiracy theories of govt. cover-ups are illogical.

We're just a backwater planet in a far corner of the galaxy, the only possible interest here would be to place an interstellar bypass.

Indeed. Earth is the Stuckey's of the galaxy. The only reason aliens would stop here is if their spaceship broke down.

They stop by to see the animals in a cage like the Zoo.

You would know this to be the case if you had the opportunity to see them.
