Are there places that will cut out wood in paterns for you?

well, ripping wood strips from a larger peice of wood is pretty damn dangerous. Its how most people loose fingers and crap with power saws. Most places won't 'rip' wood for you. Just make single mesured cuts. I guess you could aways find someone that doesnt know any better to do it for you.

Your best bet is to talk to some hardwood or rough-cut lumberyards and ask them to refer you to a customer that might be willing cut some specialty items.

What are you looking for?

It is MDF, it cuts beautifully with a CNC router.
But, where is one in my area?

Wtf are you guys talking about. I have a full fledged workshop in my backyard. Table saw, CNC mill, ... and any other tool you can imagine. Ripping wood is not dangerous at all if you are smart and cautious when doing it. Not using a guard, a "push stick" etc is what is dangerous. We have an attachment that is a rollerskate wheel with a right angle chunked out of it, it holds the wood down and to the fence. No loss of fingers required.
