Are there different intros to Heroes or what?

And as I was playing back tonight's I noticed it begins with "Tonight the story continues..."

Whereas the one my friend downloaded begins with a "Previously..." so we were comparing the first intro scenes and they were quite different although they covered similar things.

You were watching different nights I presume. When they do the "previously on heroes" thing, they show scenes that are (somewhat) relevant to what's happening in the upcoming episode, so it's not always the same intro. I personally dislike when they have that kind of intro, it's like filler, it takes up time they could have been running new stuff. Battlestar Galactica does it in EVERY episode, along with the standard introduction (the cyclons were created by man, etc.), AND the title credits opening (showing the attack). There's like 3 minutes of stuff that is useless. Nobody who starts watching in the middle of the season is going to be helped by those intros, they aren't making it so suddenly people are all caught up and know what's going on.
