Are there any younger "manly" actors?

When I think of a "manly" actor, most names that come to my mind are already dead: Charles Bronson, Robert Shaw, Lee Marvin, John Wayne..etc.

I can only think of a few who are alive & they are pretty old: Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery

I cant think of any younger actors who have that "manly" aura-maybe Russel Crowe but thats it. Most of the younger crowd are pretty boys, whimps, or plain psychos(Tom Cruise).

Any other names you can think of?

Actors have the ability to change their look over time.
See sean connery in Darby Ogill and the Little People and say he is manly...

The same could be said about Lee Marvin & Clint Eastwood. They both had singing roles in movies but they still keep their manly aura.

And that is where your idea falls apart. You are looking back at an early role thru your "manly" glasses and fail to see that at the time the movie was made he was a "pretty boy". I bet the same could be said for many actors who are just pretty boys to you now. Let them age a bit and suddenly they are manly and not pretty.

Manly comes from behavior, not appearance, so what you're asking is are there any younger actors who can portray manly roles.

No. No there aren't. And it's all because of women.
