Are there any webcams with optical zoom?

I thought this was a question I'd be able to answer myself with just a little searching, but I can't find anything yet, and I feel like there's gotta be something out there.

More specifically, are there any decent webcams with optical zoom that cost less than $100? I don't need more than 2-3X zoom.

I did some searching and the cheapest web cam I can find with true optical zoom is just over $500, with some well over $1000.
 
Yeah, that was all I could find, also... It seems really strange to me since there are regular digital cameras with this feature for much cheaper. What makes it so difficult to put that feature in a webcam?
