Are there any quiet Model M type keyboards?

I just want a simple rectangular keyboard. No internet buttons. I'd use my Model M at school but my roomate for next year is a 3rd degree black belt in Tai Kwan Do. :)

Oh, I know I can get what I want for $3, but those are a POS. I want a quality rectangular keyboard. :)

The buckling spring mechinism in Model M keyboards is what makes them loud :D

You won't find a keyboard today that does not use rubber membrane keyswitches unfortunately. So pretty much all keyboards today are going to have that cheap feel :(

Good luck on your quest, it will be a difficult one...

I've been looking at Newegg, but not seeing much of what I want. I guess I'll just get a cheap Logitech.

Oooh, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't know they produced a quiet version. If this cheapie from Newegg isn't any good I think I'm going to spend $45 for the quiet version.
