Are there any players out there beside Real Media Player that plays RM files?

Yes, if there is anything decent please let me know also. I have used an older version of real player when I just absolutely have to play an rm file, I don't even have it currently loaded though.

Theres a hacked version of Windows Media Player classic. It was posted here before and than moved to software forum a long time ago.. search the software forum archive for "real" and you should find it.

Real Alternative...it installs the Real Media codecs and also includes the Media Player Classic media player (full-fledged media player from a just an executable)

search google for "media player classic" it plays rm files and quick time files (needs quick time installed but doesnt take forever to load).

I just use realplayer plus 8. None of the spyware crap that comes with the newer versions, none of the bloat, and it doesn't continually try and make itself your only player.

If you know someone with a Somethingawful.com forum account, ask them to search for the term "rm" or "real player". Someone mentioned a player over there, even gave a link, that could play real player files. It was posted about 3 day ago.

I heard that they took lots of that bloat out, but I'm too scared to try it. I've been scarred by previous versions.
