But the iPod is not running a 200MHz+ processor, 64bit color backlit screen, etc. PDAs have more going on than a regular mp3 player, so I don't think that's a fair comparison.
What he's saying is that the ipod doesn't have to supply nearly the amount of power that a pocket pc does. The pocket pc display is a big killer on battery life, not to mention the much speedier processor. Add stuff like a WiFi card or a GPS and the battery life on a pocket pc is even lower. All the ipod has to do is spin the drive enough to buffer 32MB of music, process/play the music, and power the display (which being grayscale is nowhere near the power hog a pocket pc screen is)Originally posted by: Lucky

I'm not comparing anything, I'm simply stating what the battery life is for current technology out there.
