Are there any PCMCIA Wireless Cards that Sit Flush?

Hey I was wondering if there are any PCMCIA Wireless Cards that Sit Flush? I have a 3com one with XJack which may be the closet thing however it doesn't sit COMPLETELY flush and it's kind of annoying to HAVE to pull out the attenna to have it work. So I'm just lookin for more options

I'm not sure *exactly* what you mean -- are you looking for a card that is 'flat' (so that it doesn't interfere with the other PCMCIA slots)?

Any card that has a height of 8.7mm (0.2") should fit the bill. Anything taller than that will prevent you from putting a card in the next PCMCIA slot. I have not seen any that are flush with the slot *lengthwise* -- they generally have to have an external antenna to get a decent signal.

I've seen some that are almost flush legthwise, but like yours while in use need to have the antennas out. I say almost flush because the little plastic head of the two antennas still stuck out a little less than 1/4" while retracted. I think this was a couple years ago though, don't know how far they've come since then...

Try looking for a 3com wireless adaptor w/ Xjack.

The antenna is retractable. and when retracted, barely protrudes from the pccard slot.

yeah i have the 3com wireless w/ xjack currently I was just wondering if there were other options

Here is the 3Com.
XJack
Remember, for wireless, you must have an antenna. Some new laptops have them built in and can use a PCI card on the mobo. Otherwise, an external antenna is mandatory. The XJack is probably the least obtrusive.
