Are there any PC social gaming sites?

Sort of like Facebook only for PC gamers who want to join up with other gamers for ah gaming

I'm pretty much just looking for a site or sites that allow for playing specific games with like minded, like time zoned people without commuting to a clan.

I've seen a couple of them, but mainly they were for consoles and they weren't that well done.

not really ... steam is pretty big, but it's so big it's fanboy fiesta now.

I've been trying to promote my website, but it's hard to get traffic, with soooo many boards out there.
