Are there any other TV tuners that work in WinXP besides ATI TV Wonders?

I'm getting sick and tired of ATi's crappy TV drivers and buggy software (Using a TV Wonder VE + GF3 Ti200). Mofo has been locking up my system every chance it can (the only time my machine ever locks up is when the TV is going). So are there any Hauppage cards that have TV functionality in WinXP along with TV recording features?

i have an avermedia tv studio card from www.aver.com it seems to work pretty well and is a bit less harsh on the budget. (for about 40, you get s-video in and dbx stereo sound, plus all those time-shifting/recording features).

i havn't owned a hauppage wintv yet, but it seems like alot of people on this board have a great experience with them.

Well, I'll look into those. One thing is for sure though. This TV wonder is coming out of my computer RIGHT NOW!!

Before you give up on that card, have you tried ShowShifter? http://www.showshifter.com. It worked with my AIW Radeon except it didn't de-interlace like MMC does. But a lot of ATI users swear by it.

Sorry to hear the TV Wonder isn't workin out for you. I've got the same card with a Gainward GF3 Ti200 under WinXP and it's worked really well so far. I haven't had any real problems. No crashes or lockups at all. TV viewing is great under the MMC software. Dscaler hasn't been great though. I can't get the audio to work on it.

Does anyone know where to download MMC 7.5 for the ATI cards? I have 7.2 that came with the card......also has anyone seen all the new AIW 7500's at best buy? They had them on the shelves a few days ago and ATI recently announced it. They had one open box for 150.

Hauppauge WinTV PCI (model 401) works great in XP if you follow the instructions and use the drivers at Hauppauge.

Yeah any Hauppauge will work fine under XP. Hauppauge's recording features are kind of limited...maybe look at getting Cyberlink's PowerVCR(<---- ???) I'm not sure if that's what the program is called.
