Are there any online stores for firearm accessories?

I would like to get a replacement stock for my M-1 carbine. It's currently the original wood from the 40's, and it's in wonderful shape . . . which basically takes all the fun out of target shooting and varmint sniping because I'm usually too worried about scratching or denting it to have fun.

Is there anywhere online that might sell accessories for it? I'd love to have a composite stock with a pistol grip, and maybe even a scope mount 😉 but I'm not holding my breath . . .

I've seen a bunch of sites, but I only have one in my bookmarks: Here. I can't vouch for their selection because I was only interested in their ammo. Also try buying an issue of the Shotgun News -- more stuff in there than anywhere else for mailorder. Gun Digest is the other huge periodical.

M-1 Carbine huh? B@stard. 😉

LOL! You don't know the half of it. My grandpa carried it as an ambulance driver when he served in the Phillipines during World War II. Never asked how he managed to keep it, though . . . (somehow I get the idea it wasn't strictly within the rules for him to keep it? 😉)

I feel guilty every time I shoot it, I feel like I should just buy an AR-15 and put this in a glass case or something.

good site Russ.

Another is Miltech Arms. They may be able to help you out. Beware, they do top quality finishes=high prices. Normal M-1 Garands (not the carbine) go for about $400-$600 in ok shape (60% maybe?). These guys are over $1,500 for a refitted model. Definately top quality stuff though.

If you hit a decent gun show in your area you'll see plenty for it, I like the folding WWII replica's para version, but there not real cheap. Hang on to that thing, I miss my M14.. 🙁

I found one online for $159 . . . that doesn't seem too bad. Thanks for the links, guys.
