This thread was over when the man with no name movies was mentioned.

The only other contender is the LOTR series and that was just too rambling and self indulgent for me to consider it.

Well, that's probably because Tolkein was rambling and self-indulgent. But, the production values were high enough that even the slow parts were enjoyable.
If Return of the King ended at the coronation, it would have been a good movie. The extra hour of wrapping it up bullshit ruined it for me.

LOTR doesn't count because like the books, it's really one long movie serialized into three parts. No one part is a complete film in and of itself.

WHAT!!! Are you crazy insane mad!!! First of all I realize that there are some people out there that did not like Ep I and that is fine, but it is still a great movie.
And to mention that all 3 Godfather's were not golden is nuts. They all rocked. Just because you thought the first 1 or 2 were the best movie ever, does not mean that you should penalize the last one. All Star Wars, and all Godfather movies rocked. So did the Die Hard series. Star Trek blows, and you could not be more right about LOTR. Could not even get thru the first 10 minutes of the first one. Same for Harry Potter, if there are even 3 of those yet. Rocky 5 did blow.

Indiana Jones, Die Hard and the Jack Ryan movies were all good series.

Have you seen the sum of all fears?

Total Crap

he shoulda specified only the affleck free ones

I like to pretend that that one never existed. Ben Aflac is not an actor, and you can't have a movie without an actor.
