Are there any local urban legends etc in your town, or close to your town?

They say that some idiot was trying to dance in the middle of the street and got hit by an icecream truck.

I used to live near the Amityville horror house. People used to roll by slow all the time to take pictures.

Why don't you explain your's to us since you created this thread and all? An urban legend is more than just the name of a place.

I went to college in Worcester, MA. By the airport there's an infamous cemetery known as Spider Gates, named as such because the gates to the place look like spider webs. It's a small, private family cemetery. Legend has it that one of the gates to Hell is located on the premise and it's rumored that satanic cult's congregate and commit human sacrifices on the grounds.

I live in Lawrence and there is a small town of Stull, Kansas, a few miles from here.

In the early 20th century, Stull suffered through two tragedies. A young boy was found burned to death after his father had finished burning a field and a man was found hanging from a tree after going missing.

The cemetery located in Stull has gained an amount of dubious recognition due to various urban legends referring to the Devil, the occult, and as being a supposed gateway to Hell.[3] The old Evangelical Church, built in 1867, was torn down in March 2002.[4] Local police have discouraged curiosity seekers from entering the cemetery, especially on Halloween, and some people have been arrested for trespassing there.[5]
Urge Overkill released "Stull EP" in 1992 which features the church and a tombstone from the cemetery on the cover. The legends also form the plot in the film Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal. The cemetery is also the site of the final confrontation of the Apocalypse in season five of the television series Supernatural
