Are there any laptops with integrated -n wireless

Just bought a -n wireless router, my old laptop has g, looking for another laptop (the wife) and wondered if there are any with the -n wireless built in.

Intel makes an ABGN card with the launch of their last Centrino platform (965 chipset). Almost any laptop that is customizeable can use that card and many laptops that are sold come with that card standard.

Add on yes. Integrated no. The "N" is not yet standardized to the degree needed to embed it in a system on the market.

The Apple Aiport card that ships as standard on the iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and AppleTV utilizes 802.11n wireless.

The Mac Pro can get that as an addon card, but it isn't standard.

So... the only wireless devices that they sell without 802.11n are the iPhone and the iPod Touch.

Stu - that is misleading. The Apple Airport device is not integrated - it is an add on card.

It is, but I can't think of any laptops that have G integrated the way you think it means.

What I mean is that in order to swap out my 'Add-on' wireless card, I have to remove 17 screws, my battery, my keyboard/trackpad assembly and then I have access. That doesn't strike me as particularly 'add-on'.

Furthermore, an add-on also strikes me as something that the device wouldn't come with otherwise, so in the case of Dell where most of their systems ship with 802.11g wireless cards, getting the n card would be an additional cost.

Fine then. MacBook Air.

My XPS1330 has built in draft-n support by Intel.

As long as you get an ABGN card you will be set

Yep, most notebooks have an integrated n option at this point. Works flawlessly in my Lenovo X61.
