I dunno about "good" and "wireless"...I got a set of inexpensive Advent wireless 900 Mhz speakers a few years ago...sound quality wasn't all that hot, and I could listen to my neighbor's phone calls...Not illegal, since they were using a wireless phone, but rather unethical. I did have fun with it however a couple of times...expecially with their teenage daughter's calls...
I finally put the speakers away, and haven't used them for 3-4 years...

You might as well have two trained small monkees sitting behind you, to the left and right and train them to screech on cue. That's about how good your wireless surrounds will sound.

No offense; quality sound does not come easily or cheaply. Get off your lazy ass and run wires under the carpet/thru the walls/under the floor/above the ceiling like the rest of us.

You hurt my head now. The wires are already run. If you want an improvement in SQ, surrounds is NOT where to look.

$100 surrounds connected with real wires will sound pretty much the same as $500 surrounds connected with the same wire. I run a $500/pair set of surrounds (Axiom QS8). They sound about "that much better" than the much cheaper surrounds I used to have. Surrounds are surrounds. (L/R/Center is a diff story)

I use 12-gauge wire all around, BTW.

Yeah, unless you're a 5.1 music fan, your surrounds aren't going to matter that much. If MichaelD has it right and you already have wires run, just go wired... and if you have good surrounds already then why are you changing things?

I've seen pics of your setup. It looks a lot cleaner than mine. I used your Axiom boston cherry color as an example of what they might look like if I got them.

I wouldn't say audiophile... maybe sound enthusiast

I was considering getting the Ultra Lites
but I ended up getting the Boston Acoustics set

It's basically the same thing as the Newcastle P-965 and A-965 from what I understand. Boston Acoustics's electronics division was ended when Denon bought the company (again, from what I understand)

Well... not all that cheap, but $1500 for the set. I'll find out if this was a dumb move in a year or two when all the new format stuff settles down. I figure I'll be able to buy an HDMI switch and be pretty set for the future as long as I get a player that can give my AVP7 an 8 channel analog signal.

That looks heavy. After moving a 36" wega a couple times, I'm done with heavy as long as I can help it.
