are there any external thermal display devices that read temps from the BIOS?

I've been looking to get some sort of external thermal display device, like the digital doc 5, or a compu nurse or something along those lines. from what i've seen in pictures and read, you need to place thermal sensors on the CPU and in other places you want the temperatures monitored.

I don't really want to go stringing around thermal sensors all over the inside of my case, so does anyone know if there's some sort of hardware like the digital doc 5, or a compu nurse that will read the temps from the BIOS and report them rather than having to use its own thermal sensors?

thanks.

Check out pcmods.com. They've got a crystalfonz LCD unit that plugs in with a serial cable, for around 89 bucks. Then, you use some freeware that has a plugin for MBM5 (which reads the temp from the BIOS).
