Any of the original old time ATOT members here from the good ol' days ?
The last time I was here was when the news of denifloss's death broke and there were a few posts by the old gang.

Yeah, it was interesting here back in the late 90s. (I think I had to re-register in 2000 because of some forum glitch.) Back then, Anand was just a young teenager.

I still remember some of the members here got their panties all in a wad when Anand bought a Mac for daily use. That was interesting. PowerPC no less.

EDIT:

Found the article: http://www.anandtech.com/mac/showdoc.aspx?i=2232

I started lurking back on the original forums and didn't register until 2001. We definitely had some personalities here back then.

I remember that article. Back when I read AT articles daily and spent probably 1 min/month in the forums. :D

I'm not sure sticking around the ATOT forums for 15+ years and "elite" necessarily go together.

What designates an old-timer? Does 2001 count? Where are Fausto and Rossman?
Hey you young kids in the forum..... GET OFF MY LAWN! :D

I'm a nobody, but registered back in the 90s during the heyday of the FS/FT used hardware trading and Hot Deals forum.

I'm still here, not that anyone cares. I re-registered in '99 because the forums made me.

It was around '99 when I originally joined. I was building my first rig back then and came in for tech talk and never really explored the social section. It's fun around here, yes, slower lately - I fear the new format drove some off, I'm waiting for a dark theme to keep my retinas from burning - my monitor's brightness is all the way down at 14 for photography purposes, but it's still too bright.

Somewhere along the way I stopped looking in here after a while, but came back in '13.

I've been around since the beginning but stopped participating much after I discovered management had something extremely large lodged in their posterior.

It was a battle of the forums when I was around. I joined long before the software switch in 1999.
