are there any decent mods for FlatOut?

heck i had to copy the discs to the HDD coz it simply wouldnt install of the disc

ive nearly completed it.

and i cant help thinking that while the damage model is good..it could do with some additions such as losing wheels. scratching paint etc

I doubt it has the appeal to spawn a modding community, and since the developers don't seem supportive of it (have they released any tools?) the chance of mods hovers pretty close to nil.

I've only found some skins and a few different cars, but no mods really. I would like to see a cockpit view with working guages, but....won't happen.

Pretty much every forum related to Flatout is dead - kinda like this thread Pretty fun game though.
