Just remember: One bullet is all it takes to kill you.
So damn true. This is why I didnt want to enter the academy earlier. However, as I sit here and watch the news, the chances of someone getting kill in the line of duty is probably slimmer than me driving and getting into an accident while I'm driving my car. I spoke with my friend's sister and she said she hasnt shot anyone in her 6 yrs on duty. I also know of a friend's friend who's been serving for 2 yrs. He said life as a cop is boring at times, but it beats sitting in an office 9-5. There are some hectic times, but that's when your backup comes in.
Cops are rarely shot. They are injured/killed most often by traffic accidents.
That's why you serve in a community like mine. There's no crime (almost none), and the only people getting caught are rich asian kids in their rice rockets who drive too fast. Otherwise, everyone is back in their home by 9 and all stores are closed by then. Only pearl milk tea places/starbucks will open to 11, and I know of only 2 stores that open till 3 AM.
