I really like that zalman case; It literally has everything I'm looking for in a case, but I could do without the 5mm thick alluminum panels and laser etched gaudy logos. Are there any cases like it that are made of ~1mm steel?

I just built a system using the Zalman GT1000 case; an earlier system was built in Antec 900 case. The Antec case is steel, and at the time I thought it a good fit, and attractive.
Yet, after working with the Zalman offering, I find Antec has lost its lustre. I experienced stripped threads in the thin steel sheeting, and difficulty in dressing cables.

I suppose that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; yet, technically I think the Zalman is an excellent design and probably the last case I'll need to buy.

I agree. Zalman GT1000 is probably the last case you'll ever buy. Zalman design is simple and streamline. I have the case and aesthetically appealing to me. It offers excellent cooling. I was surprised that the internal case temperature is the same as the room temperature. Amazing.

I honestly can't think of another case with the GT1000's features. Some may come close, but don't have everything. Looks like a great case.
