Are there any black, Hispanic, or Asian country singers?

There was a black country singer a while back. He also a MD. Not sure if he is still singing or not.

Henry Cho, while maybe not a singer, I believe has done some country type singing in his act before and has toured with country musicians. It's pretty crazy to hear a Korean guy talk like a redneck. He was raised in rural Alabama.

Also, alot of northern Mexican musical acts wear western clothes. Well, the kind of flashy stuff they wore on the Grand Ole Opry in the 70's.

Darius Rucker (sp?) is black.

Black he is...country he ain't.

There was some goofy tv show where they took has-been rockers and had them perform country music. For some reason, he seemed to be a hit with people in the new genre...giving his failing career a new jumpstart...but country Darius Rucker definitely ain't...

As for Black country musicians...not many, but Charlie Pride was one of the best...and Freddie Fender was a Hispanic who made some good Tex-Mex country music back in the day.

they play his solo stuff on the country station here, doesn't that make him country?

The only one that comes to mind is a guy named Cowboy troy. His music is a mix of rap/country.

A friend of mine was one of the background dancers in a video of his.

Damn it, paladin beat me to it.
