No. There isn't a single Asian Jew.
Actuatly, all smartassness aside, I can only imagine that there are asians who converted, but to the fundamental jews converts are not real jews, the way to be truly jewish is to be born into the faith.

The Jewish religion is normally considered heriditary, but there are converts from other religions. I'm sure there *are* some asian jews, but I've never met one or heard of one.

Well, the jews in China are hereditary as well. Just like any other jews in any other part of the world, such as the jews in Spain, US, Russia, etc, they arrived through migration.

Jewish is the ethnicity. The Jews are decendents from the ancient Jewish people. Judaism is the religion. You can be Jewish, and not follow Judaism.... it's rare, but certainly can happen.

Yes, I grew up in a Jewish town... and I've seen asian kids who went to Hebrew school and wore yamacas (sp???)... I think they were adopted and put through the paces since very young... but still... they're asian and they're jewish.

Then they're a religious jew, not an ethnic jew. The two are often synonymous, but it's not necessarily true.

dunno about asian jews, but know there are black jews. there was a thing on pbs where they did genetic examination of a tribe in africa that claimed to be jewish, and they were right.

what i do know is chinese sometimes enjoy the hated powerful minority status in some asian countries.
