Are there any articles out there comparing PCI cards?

I'm one of these folks who bought a computer that had AGP support, only to find that it didn't have an AGP SLOT! :|

So I was wondering if there are any PCI graphics card face-offs out there. This PCI TNT card is getting long in the tooth, though it's STILL better than the onboard AGP Rage Pro card! :disgust:

My understanding that PCI Video cards only take a small performence hit because of the BUS. So you should be able to look at the normal AGP articles for your decision.

I have seen a few articles comparing the PCI version of graphics cards with the same card's AGP version, but I am unaware of any recent comparisons. I would suggest that you consider either a Voodoo 3 3000 if you are budget minded (currently $80 at bestbuy for the retail PCI or AGP version), or a Voodoo 5 5500 if you aren't concerned about cost. There are supposed to be some Geforce 2 MX PCI cards out, but I have yet to see any. Good Luck, chuck

quino is selling voodoo4 4500 PCIs for $95 in the forsale forum shipped, his voodoo5 5500 pci is $165, and there are a couple other people selling voodoo3 2000 pci for $55.
