Are there absolute truths?

I was talking to a guy today and the conversation was getting pretty deep. In the course of our convo he mentions "there are no absolute thruths". I asked him if he was sure. He said he is positive. I was like , how can someone be absloutely sure that there are no absolute thruths?

You validate your own existence by attempting to deny it. It is undeniably true that I exist, because if I attempt to deny it, I verify it by my attempt. Just like the statemtent that there are absolutely no absolute truths is actually unaffirmable.
